News in 2008 DuPont raises titanium prices ( 14 Sept 2007 ) DuPont said Friday its Titanium Technologies unit will raise prices in the Middle East and Africa for Ti-Pure titanium dioxide grades in a move to counter higher raw material, energy and fuel costs. Effective Oct. 1,titanium dioxide grades will increase $150 per ton, the company said.The announcement comes a day after DuPont raised titanium prices in Asia.Titanium dioxide is used by the coatings, paper and plastics industries.DuPont shares rose 44 cents to $48.33 in morning trading. – Associated Press |
